“Getting the biogas industry moving”

A recent report into the future of the biogas sector has challenged the  government to cut the red tape and make its simpler for industry to generate much needed renewable energy and divert wast from landfill – and to fulfil their pledge in the Coalition Agreement. The study identified some key barriers to the sector taking off; no joined up working amongst councils to provide long term sustainable volumes of  feedstock, excessive demands from limited range of funders, lack of certainty in government policy and support, cost of grid connection and red tape in reuse of digestate.

At ethical partnership we support our local Peer Lord Redesdale  who is chair of the Anaerobic Digestion and Biogas Association (ADBA), when he said: “This is an important report which lays out clear recommendations for how government can better support the anaerobic digestion sector and realise the benefits it could bring to economic growth, waste management, renewable energy and climate change.”

If you want more information on how we can assist you in overcoming these barriers and get your biogas project on the ground and producing – then contact us.
