When the call went out from Allen Creedy to local landowners and wildlife enthusiasts for some bugs, beetles and wild beasties he did not expect such an enthusiastic response! Allen is designing the new wildlife ponds in central Peterborough as part of the innovative Vista zero carbon housing development with Peterborough City Council and the Homes and Communities Agency. Locals people from nearby Woodston want the ponds on their nearby Local Nature Reserve deepening and extending – and Allen has clinched the deal! in exchange for a couple of days use of an excavator and dumper trucks Woodston will get its ponds remodelled and the vista development will get a mosaic of local wetland plants – and with a bit of luck with them will come water beetles, damsel and dragonflies, frogs and newts.Watch out for the photo’s to follow soon!
