“Support for proposed new housing in Newcastle”

” How do I get one of the houses?”, and “how quickly will they be built” – Just two of the comments made during a day long consultation yesterday in Cruddas Park Shopping Centre. With the planning application for the nearly 400 new homes due to be submitted in mid June, the public consultation responses will now be poured over to work out what changes local people would like to see to the draft scheme for the site. ethical partnership are preparing and submitting the outline planning application for the largest housing housing scheme in central Newcastle for many years.

Matthew Creedy one of the planners closely involved in the scheme organised and fronted the public consultation day, having leafleted all the properties around the proposed new housing site, Matthew’s pleased that so many people took the trouble to come along yesterday:  ” Great day!  what’s really encouraging is the support there is for the scheme – we’ll now look carefully at the comments people have made and see if any changes need to be made to make this exciting housing scheme even better“…
