Will I get planning permission?

Not sure if you will get planning permission? We can help by arranging to meet with the planning case officer for an informal discussion before submitting your application.

These pre-application discussions are invaluable as they can:

  • Reduce the likelihood of submitting an invalid application and wasting time and money
  • Help to identify the relevant planning policies and changes that may need to be made to increase the chance of getting permission
  • highlight site problems such as roads, footpaths, power cables, watercourses, sewers and telephone lines; and
  • consider environmental issues such and noise and traffic and whether the council might impose conditions to overcome these problems rather than refuse planning permission.

Planning applications are normally decided in accordance with the development plan, so pre-application discussions will highlight is we will need to justify the development as an exception to the plan.
