‘Stopping up’

We have been busy preparing and submitting plans to close redundant highways.  These are called stopping up orders. Some planning applications need old roads to be closed and new ones to be built.  These orders create the new highways and footpaths. Sometimes this involves minor adjustments such as the realignment of a footpath or in extreme cases an entire road being closed.
Ethical Partnership can prepare a submission package to apply for highway rights to be removed and restriction of public access to enable development.  So what is stopping you?
