Planning permission granted – wood processing

North Yorkshire County Council Planning committee have today agreed to support the construction of a new wood processing facility for Stobart Biomass. The committee agreed to the application for a new wood processing building, new drainage and landscaping, new HGV and staff parking together with revised arrangements for HGV delivieries. Located on the former Pollington Airfield the application has been the subject of extensive public consultation and debate over the past year. The original application has been extensively modified to take account of local residents views.

Allan Tindall comercial manger of Stobart Biomass said ” we listened to the views of local residents and have changed our application  – its great that the committee has today supported the next phase of the development of the site”

Allen Creedy led the protracted negotiations with the council officers and local stakeholders over the past year and will now help to conclude the S.106 legal agreement.
