Tom is based in our Newcastle office.
Tom is a Student Planner, currently studying for a Masters in Urban Planning at Newcastle University. He has recently completed his third year and is now carrying out his placement year with us at EP.
“My interest in planning stemmed from my enthusiasm for new geographical developments, particularly within infrastructure and housing. Therefore, I was keen for the opportunity to work within the industry as part of my degree.
I am enthusiastic to work within a new team on range of projects, and to put my planning knowledge into practice. I consider my positive outlook to be a great asset when beginning new tasks that will further my planning skills. By asking questions and taking advice from experienced colleagues, I hope to broaden my planning knowledge and improve my confidence as a planner. I am excited to gain experience in a wide range of planning issues, particularly in new transport developments within train stations and rail networks, as well as the processes behind applications and how they come to fruition.”
