Ethical Partnership led the planning process to restore and extend Pendower Hall providing planning and heritage support. The proposed development is designed to provide high quality training facilities, office space, a wedding venue, exhibition space and a conference venue in the west end of Newcastle upon Tyne. Pendower Hall is a Grade II listed building which is partially within the boundaries of the Frontiers of the Roman Empire (Hadrian’s Wall) World Heritage Site. Due to the sensitivity of these listings great care was taken in guiding the project from concept through to delivery.
In order to extend the floor space and create a venue which caters to modern needs while maintaining the historic charm of the building, the interior of the building has been renovated and updated, retaining the historic material where ever possible, while a high quality modern extension is to be added to the Hall’s west elevation.
