Season’s Greetings, Merry Christmas and wishing everyone a Happy New Year for 2023!

We wanted to end 2022 by looking back over some of our achievements for the year…

In January, Peter was selected as a ‘Transport Rising Star‘ by Passenger Transport and Tracisis Transport Consultancy within the ‘Building a better future’ category.

In February, ethical partnership were shortlisted as a finalist in the Federation of Small Business (FSB) North East Awards in the Environmental and Sustainability category.

And in March, Jo was named a ‘Woman of Influence’ within the planning profession by the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) and The Planner Magazine on International Women’s Day!

In April, Will joined the team as a new Senior Planner, coming from a background in Local Authority planning and the public sector.

In May, Alannah was shortlisted as a finalist in the RTPI North East Awards for Planning Excellence 2022 as ‘Young Planner of the Year’ and ethical partnership were shortlisted as finalists in the ‘Small Planning Consultancy of the Year’ category…

and in June we won! Being named as the RTPI North East Small Planning Consultancy of the Year for 2022 was a fantastic achievement for the entire team after a year of hard work and effort.

In July, we took on two student planners, Rosie and Tom who joined us for their placement year from the MPlan degree at Newcastle University

In August, Shieldfield – our local area around the EP Newcastle office – launched their Strategic Plan. Sophie, Rosie and Tom were all involved in the process alongside Dwellbeing Shieldfield to help enact community-led change within our local area.

In September, Peter climbed Kilimanjaro and Alannah ran the Great North Run, both raising a considerable amount of money for the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association, a charity close to the heart of everyone here at ethical partnership.

In October, we were shortlisted as finalists in the National Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) Awards for Planning Excellence 2022 in the Small Planning Consultancy of the Year category. This followed on from winning the North East regional award in June.

In November, Alannah and Jo both took part in the ‘Chief Planners of Tomorrow’ initiative through the RTPI, gaining experience with the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities within the Department of Health and Social Care and how to bridge the planning and health gap.

And in December, we continued to work on a variety of projects in a wide range of sectors, getting ready to hit the ground running again when we are back in the new year.

So, a final thank you, Season’s Greetings and wishing everyone a fantastic start to 2023!
